Garry Thomas Allen - Carta May 9, '05 9:06 AM ET for everyone
Governor Brad Henry State Capitol Building 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Room 212 Oklahoma City, OK 73105 ESTADOS UNIDOS
May 7th 2005
Dear Governor:
With deep consternation I have heard of the sad news that Garry Allen is scheduled for execution in Oklahoma on May 19th 2005.
I do of course know that he was sentenced to death for the 1986 murder of Gail Titsworth, with whom he had had two children. So note that my present letter does not pretend to justify the violent death suffered by her. I would even appreciate being able to send my most sincere condolences to her relatives.
Let me remind you that after a hearing, the trial court found him incompetent to stand trial and that the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board has recommended to commute Garry Allen’s death sentence, which I WOULD LIKE YOU to take into consideration.
Hoping that you will be able to deal with my request at your very earliest convenience, I look forward to receiving a favorable reply and remain
